Accelerators

Find, filter, and get alerts on startups by accelerator and batch — Y Combinator, Techstars, a16z Speedrun, and 16 more, with new batches added within days of going public.

Accelerators

We track the official portfolios of 19 accelerators, from Y Combinator and Techstars to a16z Speedrun and South Park Commons. That's 27,000+ accelerator memberships, each tagged with the batch the company went through. Search by accelerator and batch, read memberships on any company record, and get an alert when a company you're watching joins a program.

Looking for YC companies? Use accelerators, not investors. The accelerators field is the official Y Combinator list, batch included. See why YC is different.

What you get

Every company record carries an accelerators array, with one entry per program the company went through:

{
  "accelerator_name": "ycombinator",
  "batch": "Summer 2026",
  "year": 2026,
  "one_liner": "AI copilot for freight brokers",
  "company_name": "Acme Freight",
  "company_domain": "acmefreight.ai",
  "founders": [
    { "full_name": "Jane Doe", "job_title": "Co-founder & CEO", "linkedin_slug": "janedoe" }
  ]
}
  • batch is the batch or cohort label the accelerator itself uses: Summer 2026 for YC, SR007 for a16z Speedrun, LA36 for Launch Accelerator. It's null for programs that don't publish batches.
  • year is the year the accelerator lists for the company. For cohort programs like Antler, StartX, and South Park Commons, that's the cohort year. For Y Combinator and a16z Speedrun it usually tracks when the company was founded, so use batch when you need a specific cohort.
  • founders lists the founding team as the accelerator presents it.

A company that went through more than one program gets one entry per program.

Why YC companies belong in accelerators

Our investor data comes from official funding announcements. YC doesn't always announce its investments, and when it does, the announcement often lags the batch. So a company can be in a YC batch well before any announced round names YC, and investor-based filters and the new_investor rule can miss it or catch it late.

The accelerators field doesn't wait for an announcement. It's the official list of YC companies, and it tells you which batch each one was in. Use it whenever the question is "is this a YC company?" or "who's in the latest batch?"

Search by accelerator and batch

companySearch takes an acceleratorsV2 filter with anyOf and noneOf lists. Each entry names an accelerator and, optionally, the batches or years you want:

{
  "acceleratorsV2": {
    "anyOf": [
      {
        "acceleratorName": "ycombinator",
        "batchSelection": {
          "strategy": "only-these-batches",
          "batches": ["Spring 2026", "Summer 2026"]
        }
      },
      {
        "acceleratorName": "a16z_speedrun",
        "batchSelection": {
          "strategy": "only-these-batches",
          "batches": ["SR006", "SR007"]
        }
      },
      {
        "acceleratorName": "antler",
        "years": { "lowerBound": 2025 }
      }
    ]
  }
}
  • Omit batchSelection (or pass { "strategy": "all-batches" }) to match every batch.
  • years filters on the entry's year. It works well for cohort-by-year programs like Antler. For YC and Speedrun, pick batches instead.
  • Batch names must match exactly. Use YC's own labels (Summer 2026, not S26 or YC S26). Get the exact strings from getAccelerators.
  • noneOf excludes companies, e.g. "Series A SaaS companies that weren't in Techstars."

acceleratorsV2 combines with every other company filter, so you can ask for YC Summer 2026 companies in fintech with 10+ employees in one request. See company filters for the rest.

Get alerts when a company joins

The Tracker rule joined_accelerator fires when a company you're tracking joins an accelerator:

{
  "type": "joined_accelerator",
  "entityType": "company",
  "acceleratorNames": ["ycombinator", "a16z_speedrun"]
}
  • acceleratorNames is optional. Leave it out to hear about any program.
  • You don't pick a batch. A company joining a program joins its newest batch, so the rule fires on new, recent memberships. A company you're tracking won't trigger an alert for a batch it finished five years ago.
  • Each membership is its own signal, and its changeData gives the program and batch:
{ "acceleratorName": "Y Combinator", "batch": "Summer 2026", "year": 2026 }

Day-one signals work here too. Pass initialSignals when you add companies, and we immediately signal every accelerator membership they already hold, not just the ones that appear later. That's the fastest way to flag the YC companies on a list you just uploaded. See Tracker for setup.

Accelerators we cover

This list isn't exhaustive, and it keeps growing. We typically pick up a new batch within days of the accelerator publishing it. For the live list with company counts, call getAccelerators.

List every accelerator and batch

getAccelerators (GET /v1/enums/accelerators) is free and returns every accelerator we cover, with the batch and year breakdown:

{
  "acceleratorSlug": "ycombinator",
  "acceleratorName": "Y Combinator",
  "numCompanies": 6305,
  "batches": [
    { "batch": "Summer 2026", "numCompanies": 239 },
    { "batch": "Spring 2026", "numCompanies": 198 }
  ],
  "years": [{ "year": 2026, "numCompanies": 473 }],
  "otherNames": ["YC"]
}

Use acceleratorSlug as acceleratorName in search and Tracker rules, and the batch strings as-is in only-these-batches. Call it whenever you build a batch picker. Batches are added continuously, so a hardcoded list goes stale.

Use cases

  • VCs sourcing from a fresh batch. Pull every company in the newest YC or Speedrun batch the week it's published, filtered to your sectors.
  • Sales teams targeting new startups. Accelerator companies are early, funded, and choosing their stack. Combine acceleratorsV2 with technologiesV2 to find the ones missing your category.
  • Watching a pipeline for program admissions. Track pre-seed companies with joined_accelerator, and hear about it when one gets into YC.
  • Cleaning a CRM. Run your account list through Tracker with initialSignals to tag every account that went through an accelerator, with its batch.

FAQ

A YC company doesn't list YC under investors. Is the data wrong? No. YC often doesn't announce its investments, or announces them late, so the funding record may not name YC yet. The company's accelerators entry is the source of truth for YC membership.

Why does my batch filter return nothing? Batch names must match the accelerator's own label exactly: Summer 2026, not S26. Copy the strings from getAccelerators.

How fast do new batches show up? Usually within days of the accelerator publishing its batch.

Why is batch null for some companies? Some programs (Plug and Play, Neo, PearX, and others) don't publish batches. For those, you get the membership without a batch label.

Can I get alerts for a specific batch? No. joined_accelerator fires on any new membership from a recent batch, which in practice is the newest one. To pull a past batch, use acceleratorsV2 in search.

Cost

getAccelerators is free. Searches and Tracker signals are billed at their normal rates. See Billing.
